The KHCP Team

Talu Hakverdi, CFA
Managing Partner

Before founding KHCP in his hometown of Aachen, Talu served as a Principal at GCM Grosvenor in London, where he was responsible for long-term private equity investments and played a key role in fundraising across the DACH region. Earlier in his career, he supported his grandfather in expanding the family business in Istanbul through strategic investments in small industrial companies. Talu began his professional journey in the Investment Banking division of Raiffeisen Bank International in Vienna. He studied Management at Babson College and the London School of Economics and has held the CFA Charter since 2019.

Dr. Maximilian Kerz
Managing Partner

Max brings a strong background in company building, technological innovation, and hands-on leadership. As co-founder and CEO of Cherry Health, he built a team of ten and led product development, fundraising, and go-to-market strategy. Previously, at Harvest Ventures, he played a leading role in spinning out and scaling several ventures. At Bayer, he worked in the global Digital Health team, where he led technology-driven investments with a focus on integrating digital solutions into global business operations. Max holds a PhD from King’s College London in Artificial Intelligence and Biostatistics, and contributed to international research collaborations with partners such as Intel and Janssen.

Luis Hoppe
Intern

Luis holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Economics from Maastricht University School of Business with a major in Supply Chain Management. Before joining KHCP, he worked as a student trainee at MHP (part of the Porsche Group), where he supported companies in strategic transformation projects, particularly in the area of business model development. At KHCP, he contributes his analytical skills with a focus on supply chain and process optimization.

Jonas WJ Sorheim
Advisor

Jonas is a Partner at Torma Capital, a hedge fund founded in London in 2025 with a clear focus on long-term, concentrated equity investments. Prior to that, he spent four years working closely with Torma’s founders, Wiktor Sliwinski and Marc Hersheson, at NNS — a multi-billion single family office. Jonas began his career in TMT investment banking at J.P. Morgan in London, followed by a role in the private equity investment team at H.I.G. Capital. At KHCP, Jonas supports us in the analysis of potential acquisition targets and serves as a strategic sparring partner on key investment decisions as part of our extended, independent Investment Committee. His analytical depth and long-term orientation provide meaningful strategic value.
